The political parties at the fringe are taking benefit of the rebellion in other political parties as they are giving warm welcome to such candidates.
The rebels are also being provided with party ticket to be in the poll fray.
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) had also accepted the rebel candidates and declared them as party candidates.
The NCP has declared Suman Nobel Verma as party candidate for Chandrapur and Murari Mishra from Bhatapara.
In year 2003, during the first Assembly polls in the State, the late Vidyacharan Shukla after leaving Congress had formed the NCP in Chhattisgarh. Under Shukla’s leadership, the NCP fought the polls. Nobel Verma was candidate for NCP and was the lone MLA who later on joined Congress but he then could not emerge as a leader to reckon with. This time, from the same seat, NCP is fielding his wife Suman Verma as party’s official candidate.
Bharatiya Janata Party leader from Bhatapara Murari Mishra took primary membership of NCP along with Suman Verma before NCP state president Satish Jaggi. Mishra was then declared as NCP candidate from Bhatapara.
Similarly, Ramratan Manjhi, a tribal leader has been named as candidate for Bindravanagarh Assembly constituency.
According to State NCP leaders, more rebel party candidates are holding talks with NCP and it is expected that the announcement would be made by October 31 as November 2 is the last date for filing of nomination. NCP is yet to announce the candidate for Raipur ( North), as party leader Neelkanth Tripathi is likely to be candidate. But the announcement has been withheld keeping in view that few key leaders of other party can switch over.
Neeraj Saini had also took the primary membership of party in Raipur South Assembly constituency. He is likely to be in poll fray against BJP candidate Brijmohan Agrawal.
