'Nayab Geeton Ka Safar' at Ravindra Bhavan

The Bhopalites enjoyed the panache of the calm music compositions in a musical night ‘Nayab Geeton Ka Safar’ organised here on Sunday at Ravindra Bhavan Auditorium.

Organised by Adakaar Theatre Group, the musical night marked the grand event and second chapter of ‘Jashn-e-Mamu’. Revenue, Science and Technology Minister Umashankar Gupta was present as the chief guest on the occasion.

As the event was organised to mark the contribution of Hamidullah Khan in encouraging cricket and theatre in city, there were some songs presented were of Hamidullah Khan’s choice. Prior to the musical concert Hamidullah Khan was felicitated with the award ‘Fakhr-e-Bhopal’. By Umashankar Gupta.

The singers of Bhopal performed the compositions from year 1943 to 1993. The musical compositions of musical aces like Shamshad Begum, Bhupendra Singh, KN Sehgal, Noor Jahan, Talat Mehboob, Mubarak Begum, lata Mangeshkar, Manna De, Asha Bhosle and others were beautifully presented on stage.

Being a wondrous presentation for the old songs and ghazal lovers, the show evoked a pretty good response. The music lovers tapped their feet along as the calm songs were beautifully performed before them.

With the presentation of the melodious songs of the musical fankars of the city, the listeners enjoyed the musical night with a lot of enthusiasm.

The programme began with the song ‘Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi’ by Kedar Singh. later, the songs like ‘Aye Malik Tere Bande Hum’ was presented by chorus lead by singer Shivani Dhuria.

The music listeners went totally enthralled as they listened to each melody with rapt attention.

As the musical night was taking a move and the audience were losing themselves in the enchantment of the calm music, more songs like Aai Zanjeer Ki Jhankar, Dil Hum Hum Kare, Badi Mushkil se dil ki bekarari ko karar aaya hai captured the show. As many as 15 songs were presented at the concert leaving the audience mesmerised.
