MP gets 3 awards for dip in maternal mortality rate

The Government of India has given three National level Awards to Madhya Pradesh (MP). The awards have been given for the highest decline in maternal mortality rate, reach to the highest number of pregnant women in the Prime Minister Safe Motherhood Campaign and number of voluntary service providers in the campaign. For exemplary voluntary service, private doctor of the state Dr Madhuri Chandra and for continuity in services Dr Alka Agrawal and Dr Sangita Shrivastava were awarded. Union Health and Family Welfare Minister, Jagat Prakash Nadda presented the awards to Madhya Pradesh in a programme organised in New Delhi. Public Health and Family Welfare minister Rustam Singh received awards from MP.
