Alleging that some doctors appointed in the MKCG Medical College Hospital are staying in Cuttack and seeing patients there, the Forum for Ganajm, a social organisation, has demanded stern action against concerned doctors and lecturers.
Members of the forum have met the MKCG Medical College and Health Departmental officials and lodged complaints in this regard. On behalf of the district administration, raids have also been conducted and list of absent doctors made. However, it is not known if any action taken against them.
After knowing that seven to eight MKCG doctors are paractincing in Cuttack, the Forum for Ganjam approached the MKCG Dean Prof Radhamadhav Tripathy for action against the errant. Tripahty has written to the Health Department in this regard, said forum convenor Sudheera Rout.
Rout said a team of forum members would conduct an inspection in coming days to know about absenting doctors. The forum alleged that medical authorities are not taking action against such doctors for which common people are being deprived of getting proper treatment.
