Min: Govt fulfilled challenge of increasing agri production

Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Gaurishankar Bisen has said that the Government has fulfilled the challenge of increasing agricultural production in the state. Arrangement is being made for better marketing of agricultural produce of farmers.

He said that now it is necessary to strengthen farmers produce organizations financially. Bisen said that the National Agriculture And Rural Development Bank (NABARD) can play an effective role in this work. Bisen was addressing the gathering at the inauguration of the training campaign of the farmers produce organisation. Agriculture Production Commissioner PC Meena was also present.

Bisen said that Madhya Pradesh has carved a miche in the whole country in case of agriculture production. Madhya Pradesh has bagged the Krishi Karman awards for continuous remarkable achievements in the field of agriculture. Referring to the zero percent rate on agriculture loan, Bisen said that the state government is making several types of facilities available to the farmers along with loan facility.

Farmers have been provided with financial assistance also under the Mukhya Mantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana to get fair price for their produce. The Farmer Welfare Minister said that the state government has made effective arrangement for better marketing of the produce of Vanvasis of the state. Bisen has felicitated the best farmers agricultural produce organisation in the state also.

Chief General Manager of NABARD, SK Bansal informed that today the farmers of 10 districts have been imparted training. These farmers will further impart training to 50,000 farmers of farmers produce organizations of the districts selected between July 31 and August 31.

The country’s prestigious institution Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD) will also impart training during the programme. Bansal told that as many as 160 farmers produce organizations are operating in the state. Besides 200 new farmers produce organizations will start operating soon. In the next three years, 5,000 farmer produce organizations will be strengthened financially. Nearly 5 lakh farmers will be connected to these organizations. The programme was conducted by the Chief General Manager DS Chouhan.
