In a tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the motherland, the Haryana Government has decided to build memorials of its warriors in villages of the state.To ensure that the youth draw inspiration from these memorials, their heroic saga would be imprinted on such memorials, said Haryana Development and Panchayats Minister, OP Dhankar on Friday.
He said that a scheme regarding construction of war memorials has been approved by the Chief Minister Manohar lal. Haryana is famous for its heroic saga world over, he added.
Dhankar said that the memorials will be set up for Victoria Cross recipients of First and Second World War, and for the recipients of Param Vir Chakra, Mahavir Chakra and Vir Chakra from Haryana.
The memorial would be built in the same village to which the warrior belonged to. The heroic saga and the biography of the brave soldier would also be imprinted on the memorial, he said.
The Minister further said that Gram Gaurav Pat are also been installed in the villages of the state. Directions have been issued to complete the construction work of these Gaurav Pats by August 15. Apart from freedom fighter of the village, the name of the martyr who has made unmatched contribution to the country and society would also be imprinted on Gaurav Pat, he added
