Municipal Corporation Dehradun (MCD) has formed two teams to assist in the ongoing anti-encroachment drive in the city being carried out on the High Court order. The demolition of the unauthorised shanties and other forms of encroachments had started from Thursday. Vijay Kumar Jogdande, municipal commissioner, said that to assist the drive, the civic body has formed two teams which would help the enforcers raze down the illegal structures in the city.
“The area of the city has been divided into four zones. We have formed two teams in order to complete the task. One is engaged in marking the encroached places and the other is removing the encroachments.
