A family where desires are bigger than emotions and a young man who is bewildered as he is caught among all that confusing situations is all about ‘Sadar Aapka’. The Hindi play by Daya Prakash Sinha was staged at Bharat Bhavan here on Tuesday.
The play marked the third day of the six day theatre festival Rang Ekagra. The theatre festival is being held at the multi art centre of Bhopal, Bharat Bhavan as a tribute to renowned theatre artiste and playwright Daya Prakash Sinha.
Directed by Gopal Sinha, the play was performed by Manchkriti theatre troupe, Lucknow. The play is written by Daya Prakash Sinha.
The play begins with introducing a young man who is in the search for a bright future. From a small town, the young man goes to New Delhi and searches for a job. The man now lives with a middle class family as a paying guest.
The family is full of differences. This family is concerned with desires and needs but, in all of this the human emotions have lost somewhere. The family consists of a mother who is unfair and is extremely straight forwad. She never worries about what people think about her or her words.
Her husband, is on the other hand loves to satisfy his ego. Their daughter is dealing with depression and insecurities. Among all of this the young man enters their life and what happens next formed the rest of the story.
The extremely wonderful and beautiful story was presented spectacularly on stage with flawless performances by the artists. The audiences were enjoying every bit of the play.
