Man kills wife, absconds in S'garh

A 20-year-old woman was  allegedly killed by her  husband  in the wee hours on Tuesday in Sundargarh district. The accused after committing the crime fled from the spot.

Jagdish Majhi (25) was residing with his wife Sasmita, a seven-month-old son and mother at Simdega under the Talsara police station. He  along with his mother, wife and son had gone to his friend Kartik Sa’s house  at Deobhubanpur under the Kinjrikela police station on Sunday  to attend a function.

In the wee hours on Tuesday,  Jagdish and Sasmita had quarreled over  some issue at the house of Kartik Sa. In a fit of rage, he brought an axe and attacked Sasmita, killing her on the spot and ran away. Police are now searching for Jagidsh.
