After receiving a satisfactory response, the exhibition cum sale ‘Magic or Maheshwar 2018’ concluded here on Monday. The historical shopping hub of the city Gauhar Mahal was adorned with exhibition cum sale ‘Magic of Maheshwar’.
The exhibition is being organized by Mrignayanee Emporium of Madhya Pradesh Handcraft and Handloom Development Corporation, Gauhar Mahal. Showcasing the beautiful and unique collection of Maheshwar textile, the exhibition is captivating the attention of bhopalites.
There was a wonderful collection of sarees, suits and dress materials in Maheshwari material.
Manager of the emporium, Gauhar Mahal Brijendra Raghuwanshi said, “The people of Bhopal explored the variety of the oldest fabric of the State. They also enjoyed the experience of having a look at the best fabric displayed here which is Maheshwari textile.”
He further informed that this particular exhibition is organized every year so that the fashion lovers of the city can have a look at the traditional material of Madhya Pradesh.
The Bhopal fashion lovers were satisfied with the kind of fabric and material that was displayed at Gauhar Mahal.
Around 60 different designs in Maheshwari material were displayed in exhibition of different dynasties. The array of bright and vibrant colours attracted most of the crowd at the exhibition cum sale.
It is to be noted that Maheshwar is the home of one of India's finest hand loom fabric traditions.
Maheshwar is noted as a centre for weaving colourful Maheshwari saris. These cotton saris are weaved with distinctive designs involving stripes, checks and floral borders. The hand looms also make fabric material used for making kurtas and other clothing.
He also said that similar exhibitions would be organised in the future as well.
