: Responding to the call of the Central Action Committee (CAC) of All Western Odisha Bar Association (AWOBA) for a 48-hour ‘Maha Bandh’, the Tarbha Bar Association held the protest here on Thursday.
The lawyers requested all the shopkeepers to close down for two days, which started from the morning. All school and colleges in Tarbha also remained closed following the strike. However, emergency services have been kept out of the purview of the strike.
Bar association president Subudhhi Daruan, Sananda Mahapatra, Kanhu Chanran Das, Akhya Bag, Suresh Mahala, Mahavir Naik and Sanjib Sahu led the strike.
