Bharat Sanchar Nigam limited (BSNl) issued a statement saying that the last financial year was a phenomenal one for its operations in Jharkhand. The Indian-state owned telecommunications company registered an operational profit of 27 CR in the State.
In the financial year 2017-18, a total of 5,57,749 new customers were added to the network which exceeds the target by 20%. BSNl was successful in setting such a record despite fierce competition in the sector through its various plans, schemes, offers, network improvements and other value added services. Further, it registered a good conversion of people to BSNl through MNP.
The statement issued also mentioned that the Ranchi-Tata and the Ranchi-Dhanbad highways are fully equipped with the availability of 3G network all throughout. It also launched the new IPl pack of Rs 248 for its customers. Customers can now recharge with Rs 248 and get benefits of 153 GB (3GB per day) data for 51 days. This launch was made keeping the Indian Premier league in mind and the increase in live streaming among mobile users.
The FTTH service, which provides high speed internet, was extended to Jamshedpur. The civil wing of BSNl, successfully constructed the Khadi Park in Dumka costing Rs 2 CR and Banquet Hall in Deoghar costing 4 CR. It has also signed a MoU with Jharkhand Tourism Development Corporation limited. In the previous financial year, BSNl also introduced 1308 lease circuits in the Jharkhand circle.
