Punjab Congress president and Gurdaspur MP Sunil Jakhar on Sunday said that the sea of people attending the party’s 'Jan Akrosh Rally' in the national capital has laid down the foundation of Congress Party's mission 2019.
From Punjab not only the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, and Jakhar joined the rally, but thousands of party workers, along with Cabinet Ministers — Tripat Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria, Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Balbir Singh Sidhu, besides MlAs had participated in the rally.
Jakhar said that not only Congress national president Rahul Gandhi has proved his leadership skills but this rally also expressed resentment among the people against the Modi Government.
“In 2014, BJP gained power by making false promises and showing the dreams of ‘good days’ to the people...But after the formation of the government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi did nothing except delivering his lectures and releasing some catchy new slogans,” he said.
Jakhar said that NDA Government has failed on each and every front and all its promises have proved hollow. This is why there is anger in the people of the country against Modi Government and this anger of mass will root out the BJP Government from the Centre in 2019, he said.
