Busting an IPl betting racket, police arrested as many as six persons here, a police official said on Sunday.
The arrested were identified as Rajesh Agarwal, Sudarshan Mishra, Randeep Agarwal, Saroj Hota, Tapan Kherual and Akash Agarwal.
Acting on a tipoff regarding the betting going on at a house near the Sindurapanka petrol pump here during the match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians on Saturday evening, a police team raided the place and arrested the six, said Sambalpur SP Sanjeev Arora.
Police also seized cash of Rs 67,000 and 10 mobile phones from their possessions.
Notably, seven persons had been arrested in Ganjam district on April 26 for their alleged involvement in betting during an Indian Premier league (IPl) match.
