BBP holds free medical camp
Brahmapur: The Biju Brundaban Smruti Pratisthan organised a free medical camp here on Sunday. Dentist Chinmay Samantray, Dr VR Raju and their team examined about 300 patients on different ailments. Pratisthan founder and former MLA Udayanath Nayak, BJD senior leader Hrushikesh Padhy, Babula Choudhury, Hena Behera, Dillip Tripathy, Surendra Pradhan, Sheragada Block President Sarat Patro attended as guests and spoke on the occasion. They also paid tributes to Bijubabu and Brundaban Nayak. Among others, social activist Ganesh Nayak was present.
JSpur Cong holds foundation day
Jagatsinghpur: The District Congress Committee [DCC] on Fridayobserved the 134th foundation day here. DCC president Natabar Barikchaired. Many senior Congress leaders of Jagatsinghpur district andparty workers joined. Earlier, they took out a procession aftergarlanding the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Thhana Chhak.
Staffer held for misbehaving with girl
Jagatsinghpur: The Paradip Lock police arrested a school peon who had misbehaved with a minor girl in his school. Reports said that threedays ago, the accused, Basanta Sethy, had misbehaved with the minor.
Basing on the victim girl’s revelation over the incident, the schoolauthority had lodged a complaint.
