Non-Bailable Warrants has increased : CEC
Bhopal : Chief Electoral Officer VL Kanta Rao has informed that 22,888 non-bailable warrants have been issued from October 6 to 29, 2018 after the model code of conduct has come into force to ensure law and order in the state. Along with this, 2,140 illegal firearms have been confiscated and 2,42,480 firearms have been deposited in the police stations. Moreover, a prohibitory action has been taken against 66,568 people in the state.
Under the property defacement, total 14,84,105 cases have been registered and out of this action has been taken in 14,33,880 cases. Under the government property defacement, 11,61,223 cases have been registered and action has been taken in 11,29,655 cases. Similarly, a total of 3,22,882 cases of private property defacement have been registered and action has been taken in 3,04,225 cases. In addition to this, 8,569 cases of misuse of vehicles have been registered in the state.
SBI observes Vigilance Awareness Week
Bhopal : State Bank of India, Local Head Office, Bhopal has commenced observance of Vigilance Awareness Week from October 29 to November 03.
The Vigilance Awareness Week-2018 with theme- ‘Eradicate Corruption - Build a New India’ commenced with administrations of ‘Integrity Pledge’ by Kaushik Sinha, General Manager to all employees and officers working at Local Head Office on October 29 at 11 am.
During Vigilance Awareness Week, SBI shall be conducting various programmes like Gram Sabhas for rural public, Essay, Quiz and Debate competitions for school and college students. Bank is making focused efforts for sensitizing the young generation on ill effects of corruption. Special programmes for school and colleges are proposed to be conducted at Sehore, Indore and Raipur in the Bhopal Circle. AK Shukla, General Manager, MA Haque DGM (Vigilance), Brahm Singh DGM and all employees & officers were present on the occasion.
BBHEL organises poster competition
Bhopal : As part of Vigilance Awareness Week -2018, Vigilance Division of BHEL Bhopal, organised a Poster Competition in Kasturba Nursing College Bhopal on the theme "Eradicate Corruption – Build a New India”. On this theme, all the participants made beautiful posters with strong messages.
Principal Lilly Christopher welcomed all the guests. AGM & HOD (Vigilance) Amit Sharma, shed light on the purpose and importance of celebrating vigilance awareness week. BHEL’s GM SCR (Engineering & MM) & President BSM Neelam Bhogal, distributed prizes to the winning students. In her address, she said that “Corruption can be eradicated only by efforts from within and not by any external force”. Vote of thanks was proposed by AGM (Vigilance) Sanjay Dhavle. Other senior officials of BHEL viz KalpanaThorat, Ashutosh Chatterjee, Pankaj Jha and BN Choudhary were also present on this occasion. The first prize was won by Justina Biju
