Kaushik appointed as standing counsel
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Kamal Nath has appointed Supreme Court advocate, Rahul Kaushik, as the standing counsel of the state government to represent it before the Apex Court, other Courts, tribunals and forums at New Delhi. By an order dated 29 December, Principal Secretary, Law and Legislative Affairs of Madhya Pradesh Government, Satyendra Kumar Singh, appointed Kaushik to represent Madhya Pradesh government in the Supreme Court as its standing counsel.
Thank-giving rally accorded to CM
Chhindwara: Citizens accorded a grand and warm welcome at the thank-giving rally to the Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath on his arrival at Chhindwara. A large crowd emerged outside Imlikheda airstrip. The excitement in the crowd was apparent. After accepting the greetings of the citizens, Chief Minister Kamal Nath left for Pola Ground to the public thanks-giving rally from the airstrip. The whole path was decorated with welcome gates everywhere. Hundreds of people belonging to different communities, businessmen, organizations, NGOs, employees of government department, groups of representatives of every section of the society decorated their stalls and made welcome gates. Everyone showered flowers on the Chief Minister and garlanded him giving a grand welcome. Folk dancers presented folk dances at various places in the rally.
CM performs bhoomi-pujan of 11 departments
Bhopal: Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Sunday performed bhoomi-pujan and dedicated 36 construction works of 11 departments worth Rs 270.24 crore in Chhindwara. This includes the bhoomi-pujan of 22 construction works worth Rs 199.62 crore and the dedication of 14 construction works costing Rs 70.62 crore 62 lakhs. Nath performed bhoomi-pujan of the Krishi Udyaniki Mahavidyalaya worth Rs 134.44 crore of the Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University, Jabalpur under the Farmer-Welfare and Agriculture Department. He also performed bhoomi-pujan of 9 construction works worth Rs 19.75 crore of Divisional Project Engineer Public Works PIU Department, 4 works worth Rs 5.84 crore of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, 5 worth Rs 3.19 crore of Public Health Engineering Department, one worth Rs 13.35 crore of Nagar Palik Nigam, Chhindwara and one construction work worth Rs 22.02 crore of the New and Renewable Department. He also dedicated 5 construction works worth Rs 7.11 crore of Divisional Project Engineer Public Works PIU Department, one worth Rs 54.70 crore of Public Works Department, 5 worth Rs 2.32 crore of Public Health Engineering Department and 3 works worth Rs 6.49 crore crore of the Police Department.
CM to meet staff of Chhindwara district
Bhopal: Chief Minister Kamal Nath will meet officials of the district at Chhindwara on December 31 at 11 am. He will attend the programme of Police Department at Police Line at 12.30 pm. The Chief Minister will also take part in the inauguration function of Hotel Accord International at Parasia Road at 1.15 pm.
