Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on Tuesday said that to ensure safety of mother and baby, Mother and Child Health (MCH) wings comprising of 100 beds each would be established in three districts of the state.
Ultra modern facilities would be made available in these wings to further reduce the maternal and infant mortality rate in the state, said Vij.
The Health Minister said that the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has given administrative approval of Rs 20 crore each for setting up of each wing.
Apart from this, Rs one crore each has been approved as token money for these wings in the current financial year and the remaining amount would be released after commencement of work on these wings, he said.
