Health Minister Rustam Singh visited to 89th Urology camp held at Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital of Sant Nagar on Tuesday.

He took an account of performed surgeries and met the ailing and operated patients in the camp. Health Minister inquired about the services, facilities and quality of post operative care of the patients. He was very happy to know that all the patients were seen quite satisfied and happy. He said that the most of the patients have told him that the services of Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital are better than the heaven.

The Minister distributed Fruits to the patients and he whole heartedly appreciated the services of camp organizers. On the occasion Managing Trustee of Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital lC Janiyani told the minister that overall 108 surgeries have been done. Of these 30 surgeries were of Stone in kidney. Total 33 surgeries of Prostate Enlargement, 4 Pediatric Surgeries of Hypospaedia and rest 41 surgeries were of various urinary disorders ailments.

Health Minister was surprise to see the 13-year-old boy Akash, who got operated for stone in his kidney. Dr CP Dewani operated him successfully and 70 mm stone was removed. This boy is heart patient and his surgery was quite risky. Therefore first of all he was sent to Hamidia Hospital for his cardiac diagnosis where HOD of Cardiology department Dr BS Yadav diagnosed and found him fit for stone surgery. Parents of this child are not capable to undergo his cardiac surgery. Knowing this, Health Minister assured that his cardiac treatment will be undertaken under Rajya Bal Swasthya Yojna and the entire expenditure will be borne by the state government.

later, Rustam Singh met Urology surgeon Dr Raju Thomas of USA. He expressed his gratitude on visiting India and to serve the poor people. Earlier, he went to the various wards of Eye Hospital and he released a magazine published on ‘Disability Inclusive Eye Health Programme’.
