The Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday formed a team of advocates to investigate condition of inmates lodged in different jails in Jharkhand. After the division Bench of Acting Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Amitabh Kumar Gupta, while hearing the PIl on the condition of inmates lodged in different jails in the State, called the reply filed by the State Government unsatisfactory and formed a team comprising advocates Atanu Banerjee, Richa Sanchita, Rishi Pallav and Kumar Sundaram. The four member team will visit Jaiprakash Narayan Central Jail in Hazaribagh, Central Jail Ghaghdih in Jamshedpur, Central Jail Palamu, Birsa Munda Central Jail in Ranchi, Central Jail Dumka and submit a report to the Court. April 30 has been fixed for the next hearing.
