Haryana CM rides motorcycle for inspection

Haryana’s 63-year-old Chief Minister Manohar lal Khattar on Friday morning drove a motorcycle to reach Karan stadium in Karnal, for a surprise inspection of development works there.

The development works are being carried out at the cost of about Rs seven crore.

 The Chief Minister directed the officers concerned to ensure the timely completion of synthetic track and football ground for the facility of the players in the district.

Earlier also, the Chief Minister had driven a motorcycle to reach BJP chief Amit Shah’s ‘Hunkar Yuva Rally’ in Jind on February 15 this year.

During the inspection at Karan stadium, Manohar lal enquired Superintend Engineer (SE), Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Department about water drainage system of the stadium. On the directions of the Chief Minister, the work of synthetic track and football ground would be completed by November 2018.

The Chief Minister also interacted with players in the stadium and enquired about the problems being faced by them.

On the demand of the players, the Chief Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner to prepare a proposal for the construction of Skating Hall for the players in the stadium so that construction work could be started as early as possible. The present skating hall is too old and the new skating hall would be constructed on the modern pattern, it was informed.

ORDERS SUSPENSION OF PATWARI

Taking action in a complaint of corruption, Manohar lal on Friday ordered the suspension of Nafe Singh, Consolidation Patwari posted in village Modipur of district Karnal.  He ordered the suspension while redressing the grievances of the people during Janta Darbar organised in Karnal.

The CM directed the officers to give patient hearing especially to the poor people and said that the aim of the present State Government is to help the poor and needy and also ensure their welfare. In all, the Chief Minister listened about 121 grievances and disposed of the same.

During the Janta Darbar, Jaya Devi of Taraori made a complaint to  the Chief Minister that she is not getting pension for last one year. On this, the Chief Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner to inquire the matter and suspend the District Social Welfare Officer in case he is found negligent of his duties.

The Chief Minister also issued warning to General Manager, Roadways on a complaint made by MlA, Gharaunda, Harvinder Kalyan against him for not paying any heed to the people.

While taking cognizance of a matter regarding illegal possession of panchayat land, the Chief Minister directed the Block Development and Panchayats Officer to get the demarcation of the panchayat land completed and freed the land from the possession.

On the request of complainant Gopal Krishan, a resident of Shyam Nagar for starting the beautification work of a park in Pritam Nagar as per the Chief Minister’s announcement and for permanent solution of water logging in Shyam Nagar during the rainy season, Manohar lal directed the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation to get the work completed at the earliest.

 On various issues concerning the police that came up during the Janta Darbar, the Chief Minister directed the Superintendent of Police to personally review all the cases and dispose of the same so that people get justice on time.

On the request of a woman to reduce her electricity bill as she is unable to pay it due to her low income, the Chief Minister directed the Executive Engineer to waive off the interest on her electricity bill and make easy installments for the balance amount.
