The Manohar lal Khattar Government in Haryana will be holding “manthan shivir” on September 5 to review the performance of welfare schemes launched by the Central Government and State Government in the past four years.
The ‘manthan shivir’ would be attended by Chief Minister, all Ministers and chairperson and deputy-chairperson of all boards and corporations and office-bearers of the BJP.
The decision to hold the ‘manthan shivir’ was taken at a routine informal cabinet meeting held under the Chief Minister Manohar lal on late Wednesday evening. The move to hold a day-long event to discuss welfare schemes also comes after the directions from central party leadership during the Tuesday’s meeting at national capital where BJP Chief Ministers were invited to chalk out a road-map for 2019 polls.
Haryana Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishan Kumar Bedi, while talking to the mediapersons here on Thursday said that a ‘manthan shivir’ will be held on September 5 near Chandigarh and a day-long discussion on welfare schemes launched by the BJP led Central and State Governments would be held.
The government will also chalk out a detailed plan for the mass-contact programmes at the grassroots level to highlight BJP’s achievement at central and state level. Discussion is also likely to be held on the status of Chief Minister’s announcements related to various projects and schemes during the past around four years in the state.
Notably, the BJP led Haryana Government had held a three-day chintan-shivir (workshop on governance issues) for Ministers, MlAs and bureaucrats at an upscale, Timber Trail Heights in Himachal in December last year.
Besides, holding a manthan shivir, the BJP Government has also decided to hold a ‘Dhanyawad Rally’ for farmers on September 6.
Giving details, the Minister said that ‘Dhanyawad Rally’ of vegetable growing farmers would be organised at Naraingarh in Ambala on September 6.
He said that ‘Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana’ launched by the State Government is a unique scheme which has made farming risk-free. The rally would be organized in this regard and the Chief Minister would be chief guest, he added.
Apart from this, the State Government will organize ‘Shramik Divas’ at Karnal on September 17.
During the cabinet, discussion was also held on ‘Ayushman Bharat Yojana’ which would be launched across the country on the occasion of birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, Bedi said.
Under this, free of cost treatment facility up to Rs five lakh would be provided to poor. Haryana Government has already starting giving benefit of this scheme to poor people in the state. Benefit of this scheme is being provided through all district hospitals, Kalpana Chawla Medical College, Karnal, ESIC Medical Hospital, Faridabad and PGIMS, Rohtak, he added.
On giving constitutional status to the National Commission for Backward Classes by the Central Government, the Minister expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister and said that this would provide permanent solution to cases related to inclusion in backward classes or demand of reservation.
He added that now, there would be no political interference in such matters and the Commission would take up all such cases.
