Union Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation Uma Bharti and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal will launch Gobardhan Yojna, a Central Government scheme from Karnal district on April 30.
The scheme focuses on managing and converting cattle dung and solid waste from farms and fields to useful compost, biogas and bio-CNG. It will also help in keeping villages clean and generate energy while increasing income of farmers and cattle herders, said an official spokesman.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister would lay foundation stones and inaugurate various other projects to the tune of about Rs 42.23 crore.
The spokesman said that Manohar lal would inaugurate new bus stand at Baldi bypass and address a public meeting.
He said that Transport Minister, Krishan lal Panwar, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Karan Dev Kamboj and other dignitaries of the district would also be present on this occasion.
The spokesman said that the new bus stand has been constructed over 32 acres of land. It has six badges and about Rs 13 crore has been spent on its construction, and it would be extended in second phase under Public Private Partnership mode. All modern facilities have been made available at the bus stand.
He said that AC waiting room has been constructed for passengers.
He added that on this occasion, the Chief Minister would also lay foundation stones of different projects from bus stand premises.
