A day after Golden Baba made allegations against Juna Akhada secretary for allegedly sexually assaulting his disciple, he made fresh allegations against Akhada patron Mahant Hari Giri calling him a blackmailer and demanded probe into actions of the office bearers of the Juna Akhada. Golden Baba alleged that he was asked to give Rs 75 lakh by Hari Giri and that after expulsion, he charges to reinstate ascetics in Juna Akhada. The ascetic alleged that he would approach the prime minister’s office if justice is not meted to him.
In a written complaint to the Haridwar district senior superintenent of police on the weekend, Golden Baba had said that his disciple, a teenager, was several times sexually assaulted by the secretary of Juna Akhada, Prem Giri. He said that he was sacked from Ramta Panch of Juna Akhada because he had complained to senior ascetics of Juna Akhada about such objectionable activities.
However, the patron of Juna AKhada Mahant Hari Giri said that all allegations made against him are baseless. He said that action on Golden Baba had been taken following the complaint submitted to Akhada two years ago and after confidential inquiry, the allegations were found to be true. He was expelled from the Akhada based on the findings of the inquiry into the allegations. Notably Juna Akhada has revoked the expulsion of four members from the Akhada barring the expulsion of Golden Baba. The patron of Akhada Mahant Hari Giri confirmed this that Thanapati Mahant Manoharpuri, Mahant Shimpuri, Sri Mahant Devendra Puri and Srimahant Puja Puri have been taken back in to Akhada.
The disciple of Golden Baba, told the media persons at Golden Baba’s ashram in Bilwakeshwar colony that the Akhada secretary Prem Giri had sexually assaulted him several times and on first Peshwai of Kumbh Mela too he made an attempt to molest him. Four years ago, he said that he was brought to Akhada by the mentor of his father. He said that many youths of Akhada were victim of his assaults.
Golden Baba alleged that Hari Giri takes money from people to be initiated by Juna Akhada and when they do not obey him he expels them and again at the time of revoking the expulsion he takes money. He said the same had happened with Radhe Ma as well. The ascetic demanded that if matter was probed by police, the Akhada secretary and patron would be proven guilty like Asaram Bapu and Ram Raheem.
