The Freethought Party of India (FPI) hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi who met and lauded Cuttack tea seller D Prakash Rao during his visit to Odisha on May 26.
“Indeed, it is a matter of pride that India is having such a Prime Minister who spares time to meet and talk to ordinary Indians like Rao dedicated to the cause of education and health of the poor,” said a FPI release.
Rao, a resident of Cuttack, has been spending 50 per cent of his income for the education of children of slum dwellers of Buxibazar.
Modi during his Cuttack rally on May 26 found time to meet and greet Rao and his students whose total educational expenditure he bears. later, the Prime Minister lauded the tea seller in his monthly “Mann Ki Baat” radio programme.
