With a view to provide better facility for the farmers of Jharkhand agriculture department is running single window system informed Ramesh Gholap during the technical session of ‘Global Agriculture and Food Summit’ on the inaugural day on Thursday
While informing about the achievement of the department Gholap said the program is going on to convert barren land into agricultural land. The department is developing small size of machines to develop skills of farmers and local people are getting training of these machines.
Addressing the gathering Agricultural Engineering Scientist from ICAR, Rouf Ahmed Pare said, at present farmers average income is Rs 6426 per month. If it will make double till 2022 then farmers income will be Rs12, 852 per month. To achieve this aim there should be 24 per cent growth rate in the field of Jharkhand. But at present it is 4.9 per cent.
Director, Sameti, M Shiva said it is specialty of the state that there is single point of contact. This is first of its kind. Jharkhand is called gate of eastern India. Corridor is available for SAARC countries like Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh which could exploitation of possibility in the field of agriculture. A live environment of business is present in the State.
Suggesting some ideas Professor IIT Kharagpur Rajendra shared opinion as how to develop Jharkhand as exporter state. He further said, “The biggest problem of farmers of the state is scarcity of land. The present land is very hard. He guided how to convert these lands in agricultural land.” Engineering Officer BAU Ranchi DK Ruiya said there is need to bring changes in the traditional plough and make it is easy to use equipments.
He faurther said that there is need to convert land of the state in two to three years. Ruiya informed how to run machines in lower cost and labour.
