While dedicating development projects costing about Rs 450 crore to the people of district Kaithal, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Thursday said that an elevated railway track would be replicated in Kaithal on the pattern of elevated track in Rohtak.
The matter is under discussion with the Railways and with the completion of this project, the people of Kaithal would be relieved of problem of traffic congestion, the Chief Minister said while addressing the people after the road show in Kaithal.
The Chief Minister said that today he inaugurated and laid foundation stone of development projects in the district, costing over Rs 95 crore.
He said that on the demand of people of the city, around 3 km elevated railway track would be constructed from Kaithal-Jind railway over bridge to new bypass to relieve the traffic congestion at railway gates located in the city. The construction of this track would provide relieve from traffic jam on Karnal Road gate, New Bus Stand Railway gate and Devigarh-Shergarh railway gate, he added
Manohar Lal also said that he has a special attachment with the district and he has adopted a big village named Keorak in which development works to the tune of Rs 48 crore had been carried out and development projects costing Rs 80 crore have either been released or proposed. In Haryana, there is no dearth of development in any area of Haryana and no area would be left behind in development. Corruption would be completely eliminated by the government and every work would be done for the welfare of the people, he added. While announcing new development projects, he said that Chhaut-Kaithal road would be widened, Rs six crore would be spent on the construction of shed in Anaj Mandi and rest house for farmers, rennoavtion of Khanauri Minor, Bhanpura Sub-Minor, Kultaran Minor would be done at a cost of about Rs. 5 crore.
