The DAV School of Business Management (DSBM) organised the National Statistics Day to highlight the importance of statistics in the modern day here on Friday.
Regional Institute of Planning Applied Economics and Statistics Deputy Director Bijaya Bhusan Nanda attended the event and enlightened the students on the theme “Statistical Thinking: A Way of life”.
Nanda skillfully put forward the practical examples pointing towards the importance of statistical thinking in one’s daily life.
He also opined that the current world needs statistical literacy for future development.
DSBM Principal DN Mishra urged the students to empower their statistical skills to enhance their employability skills. Mathematics and Statistics Faculty Sudhanshu Sekhar Sahoo coordinated the event.
