The DPS National Badminton Tournament Girls (open) hosted under the aegis of the Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi, concluded on Tuesday.
In the singles, DPS Bengaluru South defeated DPS, Bahadurgarh with score of 21-12 and 21-9 and secured the first position. DPS, Dehradun bagged the third position by defeating DPS, Sushantlok with the score of 21-19 and 21-13. In the doubles, DPS, Bengaluru South defeated DPS, Vasantkunj with the score of 14-21, 21-18, and 21-16 and once again won the first position. DPS, Bhilai defeated DPS, RK Puram with the score of 17-21, 21-17 and 21-07 and bagged the third position. Vijeyta Harish was adjudged as the best player of the tournament.
The closing event was attended by V K Shunglu, chairman, The Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi, D R Saini, director, The Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi and Divakar Dev, vice-chairman, DPS, Dehradun among others.
