Jharkhand DGP DK Pandey inaugurated a police picket at Maoists-infested village Kulhi under Bargarh block of the district on Saturday. With this, the number of pickets in the block has gone up to five.
On the occasion, the DGP said, “It is our resolve that we will unfurl the Tricolor on August 15 in on the Buda Pahad and we will sing the national anthem along with villagers.”
Referring to the notorious Naxalite Sudhakaran, he said that these people of the outskirts of Jharkhand are working to rob Jharkhand.
“Crores of rupees of Sudhakaran Reddy and his wife Neelima getting caught is an example. For the past four years, money from Jharkhand was being taken to Telengana,” said he appealing the outlawed to join the mainstream and get rewarded.
He said that the police were determined to demolish and eliminate the Maoists from the Buda Pahad area. “For this, we are continuously making contact with the Chhattisgarh Police and creating an environment of security in the area.
Many villages adjacent to the Buda Pahad has got the light of development, basic amenities have reached to the people. We are looking forward to this. Efforts are being made to make arrangements for electricity, hospital education, PDS, road, market, drinking water, etc. in these villages.”
During this, he also appealed to Maoists surrender before the Police.
On this occasion, IG Ashish Batra, DIG Vipul Shukla, SP M Arshi, CRPF DIG Jayant Paul, CRPF Commandant SN Mishra, SP Campaign Sadan Kumar, SDPO Vijay Kumar, Bhandaria Police Station in-charge Jairam Prasad, Bargrh Picket Incharge Muna Chaudhari etc. and a large number of villagers were present.
