DC visits Birhor colony in Kisko

DC Aakanksha Ranjan today visited Kharki Birhor colony of Kisko block and got acquainted with the problems of the villagers and the members of Self Help Women Wing.

Ranjan took stock of the situation and the activities performed by the self help groups in the village. The women told that the weekly meetings are called by two groups and they are also engaged in farming of goats, pigs and ducks and they also make ropes. She also enquired of the benefits of the several schemes whether given to them or not as old aged pension, rations cards, PM Aawas Yozna, Aayushman Bharat Jan Aarogya Yozna, primary health centers and vaccinations. The DPM JSLPS was given the instruction to encourage the villagers by organizing camps.

Ranjan also visited the Kasturba Gandhi Residential School at Kisko. The heads of Electric and Drinking water dept were given the instruction to supply those 24 hours. The hand pumps must be repaired. The villagers demanded to construct the road from Rugri Toil to Chhechhranawadih. The villagers of Semartoli demanded to complete the work of water tank construction soon. The executive engineer of Drinking Water and Sanitation dept was given the direction to complete the task within a month.

During the inspection Social and welfare officer Manisha Tirky, district food supply officer Rajeev Neeraj, director ITDA Ravindra Kumar Singh, BDO Sandeep Bhagat and many villagers were present.
