Pandri police succeeded in cracking the mysterious murder of a woman, who was found shot dead at Adarsh Nagar at Pandri locality on Sunday.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amresh Mishra and other senior police officials in a press conference informed that a CRPF policeman Pankaj Kumar was found to be the accused.
The accused had admitted that he was having illicit relationship with the victim Kavita Verma alias Sima and was her neighbour living in the same locality at Adarsh Nagar, he said.
The accused killed her with his licensed pistol in a fit of rage after a petty dispute, Mishra said.
Police had recovered the weapon used in murder and is further interrogating the accused, he said.
Within a day, the Raipur Police succeeded in solving the murder case of the woman Kavita Verma alias Sima.
She had left her husband Chatradhari Verma and her children and was living alone in Adarsh Nagar locality.
The husband of the deceased works as a Carpenter and lives in Daldal Seoni.
