Cong concealing facts on Augusta Westland scam: BJP

Monday, 31 December 2018 | PNS | Ranchi

Once again the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) State unit criticized the Congress party on Augusta Westland scandal on Sunday and said that the Congress has duped the people of the nation.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarter here on Sunday State BJP Spokesperson, Pratul Shahdev said that the main accused Christian Mitchel of the

Agusta Westland scandal tried to give a chit to his lawyer in the court during the inquiry of Enforcement Directory (ED).

Revealing the whole issue Shahdeo said, “The questions that were to be asked from United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, were clearly mentioned in the chit.

The Court has given the conditional permission of Christian Mitchel to meet his lawyer, but Christian Michelle has given a hidden chit to his lawyer, which clearly shows that the whole document is complete black. There is no need to put more mind to understand the letter R written in the chit. In UPA 2 government R cannot mean Ramesh.”

Shahdev said that Gandhi family has already been on bail in the National Herald case. Gradually all the matter is coming into light of their misdeeds, he added.

Shahdev said that it is shameful for the alliance that their whole formula is being decided by a convicted criminal RJD Chief Lalu Prasad, who is at present in jail and is running the entire exercise of the Grand Alliance. It is completely against the jail manual.

Criticising Lalu Shahdeo said, “Lalu Yadav had opposed the formation of Jharkhand State and he had said at that time that Jharkhand would not be formed. At present political parties of Jharkhand is dancing on the tunes of Lalu Yadav he is being treated as the Guardian of the Grand Alliance, which is not less than slap on the face of the martyrs’ of Jharkhand.”

“It is clear from this whole episode that the leaders of the Grand Alliance can do anything to gain power that is why a prisoner is deciding their fate and policy” he further added.
