Congress party candidates Dhanendra Sahu and Jageshwar Rajput filed their nomination papers on Tuesday, including total of 13 others.
November 2 is the last date for filing of nomination papers. As per the information provided by District Electoral Office, Congress candidate Jageshwar Rajpur was the lone candidate to file nomination papers from Raipur (North).
One independent candidate filed nomination from Raipur (South) while nobody filed nomination from Arang.
Two nomination papers were filed for Abhanpur where Congress candidate and sitting MLA Dhanendra Sahu filed the nomination papers. Other candidate is Independent candidate. A total of three nomination papers were filed for Dharsiwa assembly constituency and all were independent candidates.
Independent candidate Sanju Yadav filed two set of nomination. No nomination was filed for Raipur (Rural) assembly seat while for Raipur (West) seat a total of three Independent filed the papers.
As per details, in Raipur district for seven state assembly constituencies a total of 135 nomination papers had been purchased out of which only 13 nomination papers have been submitted.
