District Collector Shyam Dhawade in a meeting the other day reviewed the preparations for special Gram Sabhas to be organized under Panchayat Extension to Scheduled Area Act (PESA) here.
The concerned departments have to apprise the villagers about the government schemes, tendupatta bonus, food grain distribution from ration shop, adequate value to their forest produce of tamarind, harra etc, the Collector said.
In the meeting he also directed to ascertain purification of potable water at all the hand pumps of the district by chlorination.
