Wind direction has induced dip in the temperatures while cold conditions would prevail across the State after system over Rajasthan would move further, said Met official.
The change in the weather conditions is due to wind pattern and after Western Disturbance or any other movement of system would occur, steep change in temperatures is likely to be witnessed.
State capital recorded day temperature at 27.7 degree Celsius and night temperature was recorded at 13.2 degree Celsius.
Rewa, Chambal and Gwalior division recorded temperatures above normal temperature in the past 24 hours.
Met official said that the wind direction is northerly - north easterly which has brought the temperature down.
Within next 2-3 days temperatures would dip in north Madhya Pradesh.
The steep dip in the temperatures would be induced after the wind direction would turn northerly. Under the current weather pattern temperatures are recorded around normal and above normal temperatures in the state.
Upper air circular cyclonic system over Rajasthan has obstructed cold conditions in the state. The day temperature is recorded in the range of 29 – 30 degree Celsius while night temperature is recorded in the range of 12- 14 degree Celsius.
The fading of system would induce significant dip in the temperatures.
Mandla continued to remain coldest place in the state and recorded lowest night temperature at 5.6 degree Celsius.
Chhindwara recorded day temperature at 8.6 degree Celsius which was 2.7 degree Celsius below normal temperature. Khajuraho, Umaria, Betul and Dhar recorded night temperature around 10 degree Celsius.
