Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath warned officials and directed them to pull up their socks or be ready to face the music. Adityanath issued the warning while reviewing the ongoing development work and law and order situation with local officials at Shrawasti on Thursday afternoon. The CM was on a visit to review ongoing projects as well as gear up officials to meet the deadline of all development projects.
Beginning his two-day tour to eastern UP, Adityanath reached Shrawasti on Thursday morning where after a Guard of Honour by the local police, he straight away went to the district hospital where he inspected all the wards to ensure proper cleanliness there. He also went to newly-constructed NCI ward for children and enquired about the availability of medicines. During the inspection, hospital superintendent Dr UC Tewari informed the CM about the services being provided to patients. He also informed the CM about the progress made for upgrading the hospital to a medical college. Lauding the initiatives taken by doctors and hospital staff, Adityanath directed the authorities to ensure best health services were provided, specially to the poor.
Adityanath later went to a primary school at Pandeypurwa for inspection. He asked a class III girl student to read out a chapter but the girl instead recited a poem. When the CM asked her to read another chapter, the girl failed to read even a single line on which Adityanath warned the teacher to impart education properly and with full sincerity. He also asked teachers that they were paid salaries for imparting best education and not for just coming to schools.
The CM later reached Newariya to inspect the paddy purchase centre. He directed officials to meet the target and ensure that farmers should not have to return with crops. Later, Adityanath reached the Collectorate where he held a meeting with senior district officials. He claimed that officers were not disposing of complaints properly and advised them to attend online complaints also so the people did not have to travel for miles to get redressal of their problems.
Adityanath also visited Bahraich before flying to Balrampur where he will take a night halt at Devipatan temple. On Friday, Adityanath will visit Maharajganj, Deoria, before reaching Gorakhpur where he will lay the foundation stone of Gorakhnath Shaktipeeth Bhawan.
