Sunday was a charismatic evening full of glaze and glamour when new age Bhubaneswar-based designers Roshan Kumar, Dinendra Pratap Singh Deo and Nikita Nayak unveiled their fashion calendars on bridal wear.

This is for the first time in the fashion scenario of Odisha the entire calendar shoot was carried out in St Petersburg, Russia. While one of them was by eminent designer duo Roshan and Dinendra who own the brand Posh Affair lounge, the other was by Nikita from Nikita Couture.

Talking about their experience in Russia, Roshan said, “Shooting in minus six degrees was in itself a unique experience. Adding to that, the snowfall was icing on the cake making the photographs look even more beautiful.”

But Dinendra describes his experience in one word. “In one word, it was ‘cold’! The models were highly professional and flexible to the situation. It was very cold in Russia; yet they were elegant and poised, carried the dresses well,” he added.

Saath Nibhana Saathiya fame actress Gia Manek aka ‘Gopi Bahu’ walked the ramp as the celebrity showstopper for Posh Affair lounge.

Talking to ‘The Pioneer’ about her maiden experience of being a showstopper for Roshan, she quipped, “It was a lovely experience and this is the first time I am associating with Roshan. I really loved his designs because I have a soft corner for Indian attire and when I saw the bridal wear which was especially designed for me, I fell in love with it.”

Gia added, “I am looking forward to work with Roshan. It always feels nice to connect with good people and work with good people because it brings out new in you.”

On the other hand, Nikita’s Couture showcased her exclusive wedding collection, ‘lagan’.

Nikita said, “Wedding is a harmonious bond and a bride awaits all her life for this special day. Thinking of a bride’s need for that perfect wedding attire, I thought to come up with a collection that can help a bride to sort out with her bridal wardrobe woes.”
