In a highly-shocking incident, a girl student of the Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya in the city was rescued by her family in an intoxicated condition from the college campus and rushed to the Capital Hospital on Tuesday.
The father of the girl lodged a complaint with the Kharvel Nagar police alleging involvement of another girl student of the same college in the incident.
According to the complaint by the girl’s father, the victim was offered a candy laced with some drugs; and when she lost consciousness near a toilet of the college campus, her obscene video was allegedly recorded by another girl with the help of a few male students. However, whether a video was made and circulated was yet to be confirmed.
The victim’s father said, “When my daughter regained consciousness, she told me that she was offered chocolate or a tablet. This was done by another girl student of the institution. Male students are also involved in making such obscene videos viral on social media platforms.”
later, a Kharvel Nagar police team led by IIC Anup Kanungo visited the college campus and questioned some students and the college authorities.
