Coal India limited (CIl) Chairman Anil Kumar Jha on Friday inaugurated Jagruti Bhawan (MT Hostel) in the MCl headquarters at Jagruti Vihar here.
During his first day visit to Sambalpur after assuming charge, Jha, then took a review meeting of the MCl’s performance with all the area GM’s and HOD's and stressed upon the fact that all should strive to achieve the targeted coal production so as to ensure that the energy requirement of the nation is met.
Equating the coal miner to the defence personnel, he said that while the armed forces protect our borders, the coal miner protects economic sovereignty. later in the day, Jha also inaugurated a floating fountain at the Maa Samleswari Temple built through the CSR fund of MCl.
