A two member-CID team started investigation into the sensational Sahara City minor's rape case of Mango. The CID probe into the case was ordered by the chief minister Raghubar Das on August 1.

led by Jharkhand Armed Police - 10 commandant Sandhya Rani Mehta who has been designated as superintendent of police (CID) for this exclusive case, the team came to the city and met the rape victim at her employer's house in Sahara City on Wednesday evening.

" We have started probe into the case and spoke to the victim last evening.  We will visit the victim again and will talk to several suspects, including the three named accused presently lodged in Ghaghidih Central Jail before concluding the probe," said Mehta.

Mehta said there is no time frame within which the probe report has to be submitted, but they are trying to submit the report as early as possible.  She, however, declined to give details about the talk with the rape victim and others. Sources revealed that the CID team started the probe  and visited Sahara City in Mango,  MGM police station, a private nursing-home at Sakchi.  The team also spoke to the rape victim's employer Nanak Chand Seth and his family members.

According to information the  two-member team spoke only to the victim and her employer. The team will also analyse the call details record (CDR) of the cellphone number used by the victim and the suspected persons, including the two police officials.

The 17-year-old girl who worked as a maid in the house of a businessman at Sahara City was raped by three persons.  As the matter came to the notice of the house owner, Nanak Chandra Seth, he made the victim's mother, who is a resident of Kawali in Potka block to lodged an FIR against three with the Mango police station on January 19. The three accused were identified as Indrapal Singh Saini, Shiv Kumar Mahto and Santosh Mahto, all residents of Mango.  Saini had on January 5 surrendered before the erstwhile senior SP, Anoop T Mathew where as two other accused is still absconding.

Mango police on January 19 registered a case of minor rape under IPC sections and POCSO Act against Indrapal Singh Saini, Shiv Kumar Mahto and Srikant Mahto trio for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl. For two years, the accused trio would rape the girl by blackmailing her on the basis of a video clip of an obscene act with her, and take her to other clients.  Two police officials, Imdad Ansari who is former OC of MGM thana and deputy superintendent of police Ajay Karketta are also suspected to be involved in the rape.
