Viewing the incident of the High School Certificate (HSC) examination question papers getting circulated on WhatsApp, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Tuesday issued letters to all the superintendents of Plus Two examination centres to ban mobile phones.
The superintendents were instructed to ban entry of mobile phones and other electronic devices into the examination halls.
The prohibition would be applicable to candidates, invigilators and other staffs.
The letter stated that the superintendents would only be allowed to use mobile phones to remain in contact with the authorities.
If required, the superintendents may create a cloakroom for keeping the mobile phones of staffs only, added the letter.
