Changes in the weather condition have brought the day temperatures down and highest day temperatures were recorded around 44 degree Celsius.
In the past 24 hours few regions have reported rainfall and thundery activities. On Sunday, Shahdol and Jabalpur regions witnessed rainfall and thundery activities.
The extreme hot weather conditions were slightly pacified by the thundery activities and rainfall across the state. The districts which witnessed hot night conditions were Ujjain, Guna, Bhopal and Rajgarh.
Met official told that a trough line over North West Rajasthan and passing over North Chhattisgarh has induced the weather conditions. The temperatures would remain around these levels for the next two days.
The speedy winds maintained the temperatures from increasing further in the city which recorded day temperature with a dip of 0.7 degree Celsius and was recorded at 42.3 degree Celsius on Sunday.
Warning of hot wave conditions have been issued by Met department and districts which are likely to witness hot wave conditions are Hoshangabad, Khandwa, Rajgarh and Damoh.
According to the forecast Gwalior, Tikamgarh, Chattarpur, Satna, Rewa, Katni, Chindwara, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla and Umaria districts are likely to witness thundery activities and showers in the next 24 hours.
The city is likely to witness partial cloudy weather condition and day and night temperatures at 49 and 24 degree Celsius respectively.
Major cities recorded day temperature without significant change as compared with temperatures on Saturday. Gwalior recorded day temperature at 41.5 degree Celsius, Indore recorded day temperature at 40.8 degree Celsius and Jabalpur recorded day temperature at 42.4 degree Celsius.
Among the nearby areas Raisen recorded day temperature at 43.4 degree Celsius. Tikamgarh, Umaria and Satna recorded day temperature at 43 degree Celsius.
