A body of a 45- year- old youth with deep cut mark on throat was recovered by the police on Thursday from a village road side under Talsara police limits.
The police registered a murder case and started an investigation and later in the evening, arrested one accused and recovered one axe from him, which was stated to be the weapon of the crime.
The deceased was identified as Sisupal Tanty , a native of Sankara Bahal village. He was a farmer.
The arrested person was identified as Rekha Tanty (40).
"During investigation, we came to know that deceased Sisupal had some conflict with accused Rekha Tanty over some landed property. On Thursday morning, Rekha and Sisupal had some arguments, following which Rekha had attacked him with an axe and killed him on the spot," said Sundargarh SDPO Balabhadra Deep.
