With General elections still a year away the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started preparations for 2019 lok Sabha elections as its state unit has decided to organize `Gram Chaupal’ for next fortnight starting from June 1 where party leaders will propagate the good work done by the Modi and Yogi governments down to the village level.
The decision in this regard was taken in the state office-bearers meeting held here on Wednesday which was presided over by state party chief Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey.
Briefing about the meeting party’s deputy national general secretary (organization) Saudan Singh said that party will reach out to people through Gram Panchayats that will be organized between June 1 and 15 where people will be educated about the benefits of government schemes.
Ministers in the Yogi cabinet, senior party leaders, MPs, legislators, working committee members, office-beares of the party, district party leaders, district presidents, former presidents and secretaries will go and hold meetings in these chaupals.
“The leaders will talk about Ujjawala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, ODF, Saubhagya Yojana, Aayushman Bharat Yojana, pension schemes, crop loan waiver schemes, Mukhya Mantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana, Mudra yojana, Pradhan Mantri Bima Yojana and other achievements of the Modi and Yogi governments will be talked about in the village chaupals,” Saudan Singh said.
He said a list of those people who have been denied government benefits will be prepared in these Gharam Chaupals and district convener should ensure that benefits reaches the identified people,
These Chaupals will be held at 13206 gram sabhas in collaboration with 3500 party workers. The chaupals will be held between 6 pm and 10 pm and a senior party leaders and legislator of that region will stay back for the night in that village.
BJP Chief Dr Pandey said that this is party’s endeavor to reach out to the people and educate them about government schemes. The leaders would also ensure that all the bonafide beneficiaries get the benefits of the scheme.
