As part of the national level outreach programme being undertaken by the Bharatiya Janata Party to mark four years of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government in office at the Centre, various activities have been planned across the State. Following a meeting of the core group held on Wednesday morning, the BJP State president Ajay Bhatt, the party's national vice president and state in charge Shyam Jaju and other leaders informed the media about the various activities planned in the coming month as part of the party's outreach programme.
The BJP has already held two programmes so far as part of this initiative aimed at further publicising achievements and schemes of the central government during the past four years with Narendra Modi as the prime minister. In this series, a Swachchhta campaign will be organised on June 2 which will be followed by an intellectuals' seminar on June 3. A drive will be undertaken to establish communication with senior citizens on June 4 and 5 while meets will be held with beneficiaries of government schemes on June 6 and 7. On June 8 a Gram Sabha and Samrasta (harmony) Sampark will be organised. Similar activities will be held at the booth level on June 9 and 10 after which a bike rally will be taken out on June 11.
All these activities will be carried out across the state. Just like BJP national president Amit Shah recently met former army chief General (retd) Dalbir Singh Suhag and presented him booklets on the achievements of the Modi government, the BJP state president and other senior party leaders will do the same in the State, visiting prominent citizens and presenting them booklets on the NDA government's achievements.
Earlier, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, MPs Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Mala Rajya laxmi Shah, BJP national secretary Tirath Singh Rawat and cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat among other party leaders attended the meeting of the party's core group.
