BJP meet at Gurugram to discuss strategy today

Saturday, 30 June 2018 | PNS | Chandigarh

Gearing up for its ‘Mission 2019’ the Bharatiya Janata Party will chalk out its strategy for the lok Sabha and Assembly polls in Haryana at a meeting scheduled to be held in Gurugram on June 30.

The meeting to be presided over by Anil Jain, BJP’s incharge for Haryana party affairs, will review the ongoing outreach programmes held by the State party unit and chalk out strategy for the polls scheduled for next year.

last week, the BJP chief Amit Shah had held the meeting of Haryana lok Sabha supervision committee comprising of senior party leaders and issued a series of directions in view of lok Sabha and assembly polls in the state.

While lok Sabha polls are scheduled in May 2019, the assembly polls in Haryana are likely to be held in October 2019.

Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala said that senior party leader Anil Jain will hold a meeting in Gurugram on June 30 to review and discuss various outreach programmes held by the state party unit.

Meeting of party’s senior leaders and working committees will be held in Gurugram to take feedback on party’s ongoing campaigns to strengthen the party at booth level in Haryana, he said

At the meeting, the initiatives of the state party unit to strengthen its social media cell at booth level and progress of Ministers and MlAs with regards to the duties assigned to them will also be reviewed.

At present, eight-day ‘Mahasampark Abhiyan’ initiated by the party on June 23 is underway in Haryana, during which the Chief Minister, Cabinet Ministers, MlAs and MPs are holding interaction sessions at district and town level to inform people about the schemes of the Central as well as the State Government besides highlighting the government’s achievements.

last week, BJP chief Amit Shah had directed the state party unit to improve the coordination with bureaucrats and party workers in the state besides strengthening its social media cell at booth level. Shah will hold another meeting with the state party unit next month.

The Chief Minister, his cabinet colleagues and other senior party leaders of Haryana were also asked to increase the pace of party activities at booth level in constituencies where the BJP had lost in lok Sabha and assembly polls in the year 2014.
