The members of Board of Cricket Control in India ( BCCI) Ratnakar Shetty, Rahukl Johri and Rachit Mehrotra met Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at his residenceon Monday. The BCCI members informed CM that a meeting of the consensus committee to oversee the organization of cricket activities in the state will be held on Tuesday. They said that in the next one year BCCI would scout cricketing talent in every district of the state and assured that every possible help would be provide to the state government to nurture young talent.
The CM said that there is passion for cricket amongst the youth of the state and there is need to bring out this talent. He said that cricketers from the state can earn fame at the national and international level in cricket if provide right platform. Rawat said that the state government will provide all help to BCCI in its endeavor to find and nurture talent. He also appealed to all the cricket associations of the state to come on one platform for the betterment of future of cricket in Uttarakhand so that the state gets full affiliation of the BCCI.PNS
