In a mysterious fire incident during last mid night at Nimiaghat market area, and a battery shop were totally damaged. Reports said that initially at around 12.30 am, the fire started from one of the battery shop and then it spread to all adjoining structures and a shop.
A night watchman noticed the fire and raised alarm. Some cops on night duty also rushed there and they informed Fire Station. The Fire tender also arrived after some time and the fire men controlled the fire. One near Nimiaghat market was completely gutted. The shop belongs to Fahim Khan who told the police that 1.5 lakh cash was kept in side box was completely gutted.
The loss of property was being assessed but police said it could be more than Rs 3 lakhs as initially reported by the victims. The cause of fire could not be known immediately,but it could be cause of short circuit. A sabotage can not be ruled out, the police said.
