Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Amit Shah would be on a visit to Chhattisgarh on September 5 to flag off the second phase of Vikas Yatra to be taken out by Chief Minister Raman Singh from Maa Bamleshwari temple, Dongargarh in Rajnandgaon district.
This was informed by State BJP Chief Dharamlal Kaushik here on Thursday.
Kaushik while addressing media persons here at State BJP office ‘Ekatma Parisar’ also briefed about the party's executive body meet held in the afternoon.
“Apart from chalking out the programme schedule of Shah, the meeting discussed with all the District Presidents and Morcha In-charges about the strategy to be followed for the upcoming elections”, Kaushik informed.
Various organizational activities will be conducted between September 5 to 10 which were also discussed in the meeting, he said.
These programmes would be organized at the assembly segment level and training workshops of workers would also be held, Kaushik said.
Replying to a query whether the party was going to allot poll ticket to former IAS officer O.P. Chaudhary who recently quit IAS, Kaushik said he has joined the party on his own and there was no such condition of allotting him a party ticket.
“He has joined the party fold to work better for the people of the state. Being a son of the soil, Chaudhary found politics a better medium to serve the people and it was his personal decision," Kaushik added.
